Sunday was one of those perfect Queensland spring mornings
so we loaded the watercraft and headed off to Lake Wivenhoe. During last week’s outing we could see in a
distance a tree close to the water that birds were perching in. We made this weeks mission to paddle over to
it.
The Bird Tree |
We launched and paddled off and it turned out not to be that
far away as it only took fifteen minutes to get there. However, our approach startled the birds so
the tree was barren. We continued on in
and easterly direction, passing several headlands until we could see the dam
wall.
