Beans, Peas and Berries

We are pleased that our berry canes have leaves.  The beans, broad beans and peas we planted a few weeks ago have sprouted and are looking good.  During the last week our spinach, lettuce and carrots have also sprouted but the shoots are rather fine.

Blackberries and Raspberries
The rhubarb has developed some large leaves and the asparagus is also going well.  Boyed by our success we planted some basil, dill, spring onions, coriander and chives directly into the ground.

A fine row of pea shoots
Back in Brisbane we planted tomatoes, capsicums, eggplants and some herbs into planter boxes.  These will be transplanted into the garden beds at Honeydale.
