Lockyer Valley

Near to HoneyDale and adjacent to Somerset shire lies the Lockyer Valley, which has a rich horticulture and rail history. It's a great place to go for a drive and shop for fresh fruit and vegies from the farm gate.

Pohlman Nursey
Situated in Adare, is the vast Pohlman Nursery. The nursery is the largest wholesale nursery on the eastern seaboard. Most seedling punnets sold in NSW and QLD garden centres and retail nurseries have been grown by Pohlmans Nursery. The majority of HoneyDale's fruit trees and canes were purchased from the Pohlman's nursery.

Spring Bluff Railway Station
Spring Bluff Railway Station is a heritage-listed site located on the main railway line between Ipswich and Toowoomba.

In 1914, Queensland Railways launched a garden competition to encourage railway staff to beautify the stations and grow vegetables. The gardens are now beautifully maintained and have won awards in the Carnival of Flowers competition over many years.

At times through the year, a vintage diesel train travels from Toowoomba to the Spring Bluff station. The grounds are open for visitors all year round to enjoy a picnic or barbecue.

Queensland Transport Museum
Located in Gatton, the museum has a magnificent display of many forms of transport, with more than 200 models since the 1930s. The main feature is an exhibit on Western Maronoa Transport. The Western Transport exhibit is a tribute to brothers Cyril and Curly Anderson, as well as the men and women who worked for the company.
